Chapter 6 · 6.3
Text, images, shapes and tables on a slide
On the Insert tab, you can add all sorts of things to a slide: a table (1), a picture (2), a shape (3), SmartArt (4), a chart (5) and a text box (6).

Text
Click in a text box that says "Click to add text" and start typing. Want text somewhere else? Click Text Box and drag a box onto the slide. Formatting works just like in the word processor: font, size, colour, bullet points. See Formatting text: font, size, colour and alignment.
Images
Click Picture and choose a file from your computer, a web address or a picture from your Nextcloud. You can also drag a picture onto the slide. Use the dots on the corners to resize it; use the panel on the right to crop it.
SmartArt
With SmartArt, you can create a clear diagram in just a few clicks: a list, a process with arrows, a cycle, a hierarchy such as an organisation chart, or a pyramid. You only type the text, Euro-Office takes care of the shapes.

Shapes, tables and charts
- Shape: choose an arrow, star, speech bubble or another shape and drag it onto the slide. Double-click to add text to it.
- Table: choose the number of rows and columns. Pick a style on the right. See Inserting and formatting tables.
- Chart: choose a chart type and enter the numbers. See Creating charts.
Aligning objects neatly
Select a few objects (hold down Shift) and on the Home tab, use Arrange shape and Align shape to set how they're positioned relative to each other. On the View tab, turn on Guides and Gridlines to line up objects at the same height.
